Little Bit About Me :)

Hi, I’m Sydney!

I’m a creative professional passionate about Jesus and telling stories. My heart is to use the gifts God has given me to reflect His creativity and bring Him glory. I have an eye for design (friends often say I’m great at making things look better) and I love turning ideas into something beautiful and meaningful. I’m always learning, growing, and excited to connect and create together!

Creative Process

  • The notes app is the living room of all my best ideas. I find it easy to map out what I am thinking and put it into words on a screen. If you have an idea, always write it down, you never know when you might need it!

  • My Pinterest boards are an extension of my mind. I love creating mini' ‘worlds’ with all my favorite things. Whenever I am needing inspiration for an idea I have I almost always go to Pinterest next to lead me in the right direction.

  • Sometimes as a creative, I can get lost in my own ideas and go down rabbit holes that don’t actually accomplish anything related to what I was initially intending. I have found it super helpful to ask my family and friends what their thoughts are on my designs and projects to see if it makes sense, if it is easily digestible, and if the story is told well. By now, they give me honest answers and I am able to make the needed adjustments.

Education & Skills

I am currently a senior studying Strategic Communication and Global Studies at Liberty University. While being a student, I have developed skills in photo, video, content creation, campaign concept, writing, editing, and graphic design. I love to think outside the box and construct ideas that have never been thought of before.

Creatives tend to be really good at coming up with ideas but not so good at bringing their amazing ideas to life. There needs to be strategy and planning involved in these creative projects. This is where I thrive! I absolutely love the brainstorming process but then to make that idea a reality is even better.

Future Plans

So what is next?

I would love to work in digital marketing or product/brand management. It is important to me that I work for a brand or company that aligns with my values and does not oversaturate the market with ads and clutter. For this reason, I could see myself working for a nonprofit company or a mission board at some point.
